ELOWEN offline filter documentation¶
WG filter expert: Karlijn Kruiswijk¶
Presentation of the filter : https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1CYh83yoC72Yfj9iS33RHiGl4mJoY9pULf52y-cSuW3U/edit?usp=sharing
Split¶
The filter is expected to run on the following split:
InIceSplit
triggers: DeepCore¶
The filter is expected to run on the following trigger:
DeepCoreTrigger
Inputs¶
The filter requires the following inputs:
“InIceDSTPulses”
“SplitInIcePulses”
“SplitRTCleanedInIcePulses”
“OnlineDeepCoreFilter_24” is used if it is present, otherwise it is added to the frame
Reconstructions¶
No reconstructions are used in this filter
Objects added¶
The following objects are expected to be added to the frame:
“OnlineDeepCoreFilter_24” (if not yet present in frame or OnlineFilterMask)
“SplitRTCleanedInIcePulses” : if “OnlineDeepCoreFilter_24” has passed and “SplitRTCleanedInIcePulses” does not yet exist, an I3SeededRTCleaning_RecoPulseMask of SplitinIcePulses
“ELOWEN_Filter_24”: if “OnlineDeepCoreFilter_24” has passed, an I3Bool signifying the ELOWEN selection has passed
Filter rate¶
The expected filter rate is 25 mHz, this rate is dominated by detector noise. The filter result is contained within the I3Bool: “ELOWEN_Filter_24” if “OnlineDeepCoreFilter_24” passed.
Physics targets¶
This filter is specialised for 0.5-10 GeV,for all neutrino flavors. It can observe neutrinos from 0.5-100 GeV. The selection is used for astrophysical transient searches.
